PRIVACY POLICY AND DATA HANDLING

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Under the new GDPR coming into force on 25th May 2018, Bimbo's Hair is required by law, to document what personal information we keep for all clients, whether they be a one off appointment or regular clients’.

Bimbo's Hair will request your name, email and a contact number in order to make an appointment. At the time of your appointment all clients’ will be required to complete a consultation form which will also ask you to supply your address, any medical history and your doctors surgery contact details (in case of an emergency). These details are securely stored within our booking system and a locked filing system within the salon. Only Bimbo's Hair  has access to these files via two different security codes and keys. If any client details are stolen  Bimbo's Hair will attempt to notify you immediately via the contact information you have supplied.

Bimbo's Hair  is required to keep this information for legal and insurance purposes. All information is kept for a period of 7 years from initial communication after which it will be securely destroyed unless you are still a client of Bimbo's Hair . You do have the right to see any information we keep and you can request that any data be changed or securely destroyed. If however you do request records to be permanently destroyed, we will no longer be able to carry out any treatments for you.

Bimbo's Hair  will not use the information for anything other than to contact you regarding your appointment, to discuss matters relating to your treatments or to notify you of any news and/or offers within Bimbo's Hair. You can opt in/out of our newsletter on the initial consultation form, and change this selection at any point. We do not pass your personal information to any third party unless legally bound to do so. E.g. to the emergency services.

Bimbo's Hair  would like to publish pictures of you or part of your body to promote our work on social media platforms. If you do not want us to use your picture you must indicate this on our consultation form (in the appropriate box) otherwise, we will assume you have given consent for us to use your picture.

If you make contact through social media platforms, by using any of their messenger services or by tagging or commenting on our posts you are giving your consent for us to contact you. All social media is only accessible by Bimbo's Hair and is kept secure in accordance with their privacy policies.
Any information you have given in a text message via mobile phone is accessible only by myself, Dayna Roach, and my phone is locked with a security code and finger print recognition. You may request that these text messages are deleted once I have uploaded the information on your record card.
